New CD
09-21-2002
hey what's up everyone?
Just wanted to let you know we pulled off the impossible. And wanna take this opportunity to thank the 2 people that made it happen.
As of a couple of days ago we found ourselves with nothing but our show going into locobazooka. Our merchandise all went to waste when we changed our name two weeks ago. and our full length CD and 3 months worth of work lost when our hard drive became unreadable.
Anyway, after spending time coming up with the new design for the new name, we again hit a barrier when we couldn't find anywhere to print it in such short notice. So we wanna send a HUGE thank you to Kelly D. He busted his ass and got us about 100 articles of clothing with our new name on it that will be available at the show.
The second miracle happened last night when we had no where to go but attempt a last minute recording of our songs. We could only salvage 1 song out of 13 tracks previously recorded... and with nothing heading into the show. Our good friend Joe Sabatini from dashboard jesus offered us his studio and precious time and recorded us live. We finished an entire CD in 1 day. We can explain how grateful we are to JOE ... words can't describe what he did for us and how amazing of a person he is, having his own stuff to take care of, yet took that much time to help us. So I ask of all of you to check this guy out and his band at locobazooka on the main stage.
So to wrap this up. NEW SHIRTS, NEW 6 Track CD, and we'll be on at 11:15am on the Bazzoka Stage.. it's the main stage 2.
See you all there, and come look us up.
Beware... there will be no listings for blindsided as we are now known as
CHANGING SKIN
peace, (time to finally get some sleep, long day tomorrow of burning 500 CDs)

So by this week's end we will have it finalized and announced.

-----------------------------

Also, we head into the studio next week on 5.13 & 5.14 to start tracking josh's drums for our new CD "intersection". This will also buy us some time to get our new bassist up to date at which time then he will go in and lay down his bass lines.

----------------------------

We have two shows this week.

Friday 5.10.02 at jarrod's opening for living color and others. Check our site or go to http://www.jarrodsplace.com for the line-up

Then

Saturday 5.11.02 - We're playing with our friends, Carv, Breedinground and Blind by Noon. So get your asses out to this show, it's going to be nuts. If you were there last week whent the 3 of us all played together u will have a pretty good idea of how awesome of a show this will be. Thanks
04-29-2002
We would like to thank the many of you that came down to our show this past Saturday at jarrod's place.

The show was completely amazing to us, and we put it right up there on our top 3 shows ever.

More importantly we would like to take this time to thank Ben from Carv, and Jaime from Breedinground for jumping right on bass and help us with our set. These guys are amazing and played everysingle song with us. Without them helping us out we would of had to cancel. So a huge thank you goes out to them and all you fans that came out and supported us.

Bassist & Rhythm Guitarist Search
04-26-2002
Just to clue you all in, we have been getting a huge call back on the two positions we've been auditing for.

So we expect to audition for only 1 more week, and then begin call backs for one last jam.

As of right now, we already plan to invite 2 people back. They have had all the qualities we're looking for.

Well, we'll keep you all posted.

Peace

Press Release
04-19-2002
On behalf of Blindsided, I would like thank all our friends and new fans that came out to The Linwood last night. It was our first time there and we really appreciated the support.

However, if you were there, you also got to witness our last show with Dan Hanlon, our (ex)bassist. Due to many personal issues, not musically related, Blindsided and Dan have decided to part ways. At this point in our lives, this was the best decision for the four of us. We wish him the best of luck in his life, with his career, girlfriend, and graduate school, as he wishes us the best in our careers.

There are many good news to report though...

Since the decision last night, we have arranged for a replacement bassist to fill in until we get a permanent one. With that said all shows will remain scheduled as we won't skip a beat. Chris Pawlyk, whom we met for the first time yesterday as the lead guitarist for the hilarious Sweatpant Boners, has graciously offered to help us out for a month or so by playing our gigs. It was an unexpected but much appreciated gesture and we will be practicing intensively with him today in order to get ready for tomorrow's show at Nichol's College. We will then continue working on our set for our upcoming shows, while trying out bassist to fill the full time position.

Once again, Blindsided has suffered a small set back but by no means is this stopping us. We will persevere as we did when we got Chris Harrell (vocals) and we know we will become a more cohesive, dedicated, and goal oriented band. We are obviously forced to push back our plans to record the CD (hopefully not for much longer) but since we need to take this time out to find a new bassist, we are also entertaining the idea of getting a rhythm guitarist. Below, you can find our ads for both positions and keep us in mind if you hear/know of anyone who could be interested. We also would like to ask the many of you reading this press release, to announce it on your websites, magazines & radio stations. We don't want to make this a long procedure, so your help will play a big part in this search.

Thank you all very much. We won't be going anywhere, so go to our site and see where we'll be next. http://www.blindsidedband.com

Also just in, we booked and confirmed 2 new dates in CT on 6.14 and 6.15.
Check our website for the all the information.

Bassist & rhythm guitarist wanted:

We are an established Boston band looking for a new bassist and rhythm guitarist. Playing all original hard rock music, some of our influences are TOOL, System of a down, Rage Against the Machine, Reveille, Deftones and many more. We are currently giging out about 2 times a week and plan to do more. We also have tour plans for the very near future and a new full length CD to record that will feature 10 brand new songs.

We are looking for someone committed, in their early 20's, with lots of energy (and we mean lots... so better be able to jump) that will be ready to rock out. Must have good writing skills, good gear, transportation, and be willing to play shows at anytime.

Just e-mail us back at blindsidedband@aol.com

We want to thank you all for your continuous support and I will keep you updated on our progress. Hope to see guys at one (or more!) or our upcoming shows. For more information on all shows, please go to our shows section on the website http://www.blindsidedband.com

See you all soon, and once again, we wish Dan all the best.

NEWSLETTER #4
02-11-2002
Just wanted to give you all a quick update.
We are now ready to play shows, and will hit it off at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston on Feb. 22, 2002.
We will take it from there and begin to play a few selected dates. We are still working on our second CD so we won't play as many dates as we used to for now.
We also have studio updates.
We have written 5 new songs, all are expected to be on our new CD. 4 of which, you can expect to hear at our first show back on Feb. 22nd. They are Titled:
Entrow
Change
Looking in The mirror
& The Gift
The Fifth new song is still in the workings and remains untitled.
Updates on names, track list and more news on the new CD can be found on the Discography Page.
Chris has also re-written all the lyrics to all previously unrecorded songs. With that we have also renamed them.
Handprint is now - 2nd Thoughts
Me Evasive is now - Injustice
Nothing's Easy, Let it Ride & Gift of Pain remain untitled
We are also debating on what to do with our 2nd CD. It was originally going to be just a 6 track EP... But we are now Looking at 10+ Tracks, so we are still undecided if all songs will be released, due to financial concerns. But be sure we'll be playing all these tracks live.
Stay in touch with us. And thanks for your ongoing support during our time off.

PLANS FOR THE NEAR FUTURE
01-08-2002
On behalf of Blindsided, I would like start off this post by thanking all the people who made it to Bill's Bar last night. That was a great show and you all rocked. I'd like to thank Laura & Frank for coming out (hadn't seen you guys forever) , and Kristine for seeing her first show. (hope u
liked it). Also, Frank and then Colleen for jumping up on stage and rocking with us... It was awesome.
As some of you might have been aware or are wondering about it, we have been really stressing out and going a little nuts the last few weeks deciding on our future- hence our absence from the board and failure to answer some of your posts. After some contemplating and talking, we have come to a couple of decisions. And here are our plans for the future:
* Due to Musical & Personality differences we had to let our lead singer Mike Bidwell go. Our decision didn't come lightly but had to be done. We truly wish him the best of luck, as we had a good time playing with him in the last 4 months.
Now for the Good/Bad news:
- Unfortunately we will have to cancel our next two shows, 01.11.02 & 01.18.02. However I will still keep the bills running as I'm still promoting both nights.
The Good news:
- Blindsided is still going strong and up on it's feet. We don't want anyone to think this is the end. We had to take this time off anyway, so here's what's up for us:
1) Tonight, we actually begin the first night of Pre-Production for our upcoming CD. This process may last until the end of January, during which time our new lead singer, Chris Harrell (ex-frontman of Dogfight), will be working on vocals. He will then go into pre-pro and begin the recording of the new CD with us.
2) We will begin to list shows as we get them but plan to take January and February off for preparation. In the mean time, check back to our website as I plan to make the appropriate updates, put up some new photos, and just
catch up with everything on there.
Again, we wanna thank you all one more time, ask you all to remain in touch during the next 2 months, and we will be back soon. (In the mean time ... you can still come party with us when we practice and keep an eye our for how things are going
See you all soon, and again, best of luck to Mike.
Peace

12 BANDS OF X-MAS - BOSTON FINALS
12-12-2001
We would like to thank all of you that came down to the show and rocked out with us, and would like to thank/apologize to those of you that made it but ended up missing the show due to the fact we had to headline the gig at the Hard Rock Cafe Last night.
But we would like to let you all know that we won, and are going to be playing in the Boston Finals next Tuesday (12.18.01). We would like to invite you all again.
This time we will be drawing straws :) so there won't be any more mistakes or misunderstandings of our set times.
Again thanks for your support and we hope to see you all again at the hard rock on tuesday for the finals.

12 BANDS OF X-MAS
11-21-2001
We were selected to enter the 12 Bands of Xmas, presented by The Hard Rock Cafe & Garageband records. We are scheduled to play the first round on Dec. 11th at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. Below is the Invitation Letter.
Dear BLINDSIDEDband,
Congratulations! BLINDSIDED is invited to participate in a special Garageband Records competition, in partnership with the Hard Rock Cafe and Samuel Adams.
The competition is called "12 Bands of Christmas" and you could win a Hard Rock Cafe tour, a van lease for one year, and a shot at a contract with Garageband Records.
Here's the deal: 12 bands in each of 12 major cities have been invited to play at their local Hard Rock Cafe. So that's 144 bands in total. The audiences will pick winners in each city and these 12 winners will be featured on hardrock.com from December 21 to 23. Visitors to hardrock.com will be invited to vote on an overall winner and the one lucky band gets the grand prize.
BLINDSIDED has been invited to compete because your music has performed well at garageband.com and you've demonstrated that you like to play out.
Congratulations again, good luck from all of us at Garageband Records, and - can we really say it? - Happy Christmas. No, it's still way too early.
Rock on,

NEWSLETTER #1
01-23-2001
What's up everyone? As most of you know we have been hard at work to find a new singer. We have tried out over 10 singers now and will make our choice by the end of January, Due to scheduled Show dates we need to make a decision and get to it. So if you know of anyone that wants to try out tell them to email us right away. I also posted a new MP3 of our song "perfect" This is just for a little taste of what's to come. The song was recorded without a singer for obvious reasons. But check it out and get back to us with your opinion. We are also in the process of making our new shirts. The order was supposed to go in today, but due to Size restrictions we are going to have to look for a new place to get them done at or Redesign them. Either way expect a kick ass T-shirt. If you wanna pre-order they are going to be 10 bucks each and offered in Medium, Large, and X-Large. I advise you to do so, because due to our budget we are getting a very low quantity and will sell our fast. Also, we just recently got our first "love" note from my neighbors after practice on Thursday, it read "Please Do Not Pay Music So Loud It Is Very Disturbing -- Your Neighbor @ 20 .... St." Stay on the look out for the Scan I'm gonna put up a pic of it on the site Everyone keep in touch and the emails coming peace THE BLINDSIDED CREW
